6 Saved Locations
Save the places that matter (home, work, family, a venue, or a chase target) and see them on the map, color-coded by category.
6.1 Categories
Every saved location belongs to one of these categories, each with its own default icon and color:
- Home
- Work
- Family
- Friend
- Venue
- Storm Chase
- Other
You can toggle the visibility of each category independently from the map overlays, so you can show just your chase targets without your whole address book on screen.
6.2 Creating a location
- Long-press a point on the map, or open Settings > Saved Locations > Add.
- Set a name, choose a category, and optionally pick a custom icon, color, and notes.
- Save.
When you drop a pin, the app uses reverse geocoding to suggest a name automatically, which helps when you don’t know the exact address.

6.3 Editing and deleting
From Settings > Saved Locations, tap any entry to edit its details or delete it. Changes appear on the map immediately.
6.4 Showing them on the map
Saved locations render through the Saved Locations overlay. Use the per-category visibility toggles (see Map Overlays) to control which categories are drawn.

Use the Storm Chase category to mark target intercepts, road options, and bail-out points before a chase, then toggle the other categories off so the map stays focused on the operation.
